Marilyn earned her BS in Integrated Language Arts from Bowling Green State University & MS in English Education from Buffalo State College before pursuing her PhD in Learning & Instruction from the University at Buffalo.
Her research interests include arts integration with a focus on culture & social justice.
Marilyn taught grades 6-12 for 12 years before moving to higher education.
At Buffalo State she teaches courses in poetry, advanced composition, the short story, British literature, film & literature, & education.
In addition, she's advisor to Buffalo State's student poetry society The Ink Club.
