Founded by Ann C. Colley, SUNY Distinguished Professor, in the fall of 2008, this series celebrates and draws attention to the remarkable research being done in various departments at Buffalo State, SUNY.
The lectures, given three times per semester, offer an opportunity to listen to and participate in a conversation with faculty at Buffalo State who are engaged in research projects. These events are open to members of the College as well as to the larger community. For more than a dozen years, faculty from many departments have given talks. The lectures take place on certain Friday afternoons from 3-4:30 p.m. A reception follows so that people have an opportunity to extend the discussion and chat. During the Covid 19 pandemic, Conversations has been held virtually over Zoom.
The subjects of these lectures have been varied.
