Advisement is an important part of the academic experience. For students, your academic advisor is a valuable resource whose work goes beyond helping you choose courses. Your academic advisor is a resource for you within the department. These are some of the many things your academic advisor may do:
Meeting with your advisor every term will help ensure that you have a rich intellectual experience, and will also ensure that you are on the path to timely graduation. If you have questions or concerns about your degree progress, your academic performance, or other things pertaining to your experience in the major and the department, your advisor can be a valuable resource for you. If you are not sure who your academic advisor is, you can find that information in the upper right-hand corner of your Degree Works Audit.
