ENG 190—Introduction to Literary Interpretation (must be taken immediatley after completion of the College Writing requirement (CWP 101, 102) or within first year of transfer to the English Department.
Major Figure: One of the following major figure courses must be taken:

ENG 314 —Chaucer
ENG 313—Milton
ENG 390—Literary Criticism and Theory
ENG 490 —Senior Seminar
British Literature
One Course before 1850
One Course after 1850
American Literature
One Course before 1900
One Course after 1900
World Literature
One course Western Literature
One course non-Western Literature
One Minority Literature course
For specific courses that fulfill the above requirements, please consult your advisor, as well as your Degree Works Report.
Students take 3 ENG elective courses in linguistics, literature, film, theory or writing.
Students MUST take at least 27 credit hours (9 courses) of upper division ENG courses to complete the major.
